Job Description:

Parul University invites applications for a full-time Project Research Scientist to contribute to an ICMR-funded initiative on wearable devices for predicting epilepsy. The selected candidate will lead and execute interdisciplinary research involving EEG signal processing, biosensor integration, AI/ML, and embedded systems development.

Key Responsibilities for PhD Biomedical Engineering Project Scientist:

  • Design and develop frameworks for integrating biosensors and acquiring EEG signals.

  • Implement AI/ML algorithms for real-time seizure prediction and analytics.

  • Optimize hardware-software integration for signal processing efficiency.

  • Conduct data acquisition and validation using clinical and simulated datasets.

  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams for hardware, software, and data science integration.

  • Prioritize candidates available for immediate joining.

Qualifications for PhD Biomedical Engineering Project Scientist:

Essential Qualification:

  • First Class Post Graduate degree (or equivalent) with 3 years of experience OR Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields.

  • Degree must be from a recognized University/Institute.

Desirable Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with EEG signal processing, circuit simulation in EDA tools, and biosensor-based wearable devices.

  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, OpenBCI, and embedded system programming.

  • Experience in cloud-based data systems and real-time analytics.
