The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on temporary and contractual basis:

Title of the Project: “To investigate the molecular crosstalk between nucleolar proteins Fibrillarin and PARP in regulating DNA Damage Response (DDR) pathway in Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transitions (EMT) in cancers”

Minimum Educational Qualification
M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Zoology / Biochemistry with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade
Preference
Candidates with expertise in molecular biology techniques of handling nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), and proteins, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, cloning, PCR, RT-PCR, basic lab techniques of western blot and experience in handling mammalian cell culture (human, mouse), following best practices for cell culture, safety guidelines, molecular biology techniques with competence in FISH, molecular cytogenetics, imaging techniques such as fluorescence, confocal microscopy and image analyses, experience with handling drug-based assays in cell culture models will be preferred.
Tenure of the appointment
Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments per month
1] Rs. 25,000/- + 27% House Rent Allowance
OR
2] Rs. 31,000/- + 27% House Rent Allowance with valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT – JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions OR equivalent scorecard.
Age limit as on last date of submission of application.
Not more than 35 years
Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and / or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for applicant/s having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
