Job Summary:
The Microbiologist is responsible for monitoring and ensuring microbial quality in pharmaceutical environments. The role includes microbiological testing of materials and environments, compliance assurance, and audit readiness in sterile and non-sterile production settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and production areas to ensure aseptic conditions.
• Conduct microbial testing of water, raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Carry out sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and microbial limit tests using validated methods.
• Prepare and maintain culture media, and perform microbial identification using biochemical or automated methods.
• Draft and maintain microbiology-related SOPs in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Keep accurate and complete documentation aligned with cGMP and audit expectations.
• Participate in audits and help maintain microbiological compliance as per regulatory norms.
Requirements:
• Educational Qualification: BSc / M.Pharm / M.Sc. / Life Science
• Experience: 2 – 3 years in pharmaceutical microbiology labs.
• Practical knowledge of environmental monitoring, sterility testing, and microbial techniques.
