Post Description
Pay Scale: Level-8 (Rs. 47,600-1,51,100/-)
Age: Not exceeding thirty years of age as on normal closing date. Note – Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servants up to Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification (s):
A. Educational –
Masters degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or
Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology of a recognized University or recognised institute.B. Experience –
Four years of experience in drug testing and standardisation and research.
Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s):
Doctorate degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology of a recognized University or recognised institute.
Duty(ies):
The duty and responsibilities of the said post include analysis of complicated drugs samples by physicochemical method, using sophisticated instruments like High performance liquid chromatography, infra-red spectrophotometer, etc. Standardisation of reference standard. Carrying out research work pertaining to quality control of drugs. Imparting training to Drugs Analysts. Helping sectional i/c in technical and administrative work.
Probation: Two years for Direct Recruits
Note: There shall be a mandatory induction training of at least two weeks duration for successful completion of the probation as prescribed by the Central Government.
Headquarters: Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Hyderabad, with all India service liability.
Other Details: The post is permanent. General Central Service, Group B Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Any Other Conditions: The officer may be posted anywhere in India.
APPLICATION FEE:
(a) Candidates (Except Female/SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
(b) No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
(c) Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
(d) Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
