Job Description:
Applications are invited for the post of one Project Associate for the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) – Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant Scheme project (ANRF/ECRG/2024/000370/LS) in the School of Bio Sciences & Technology (SBST) at VIT.
Title of the Project:
“ENGINEERING TRANSCRIPTIONAL LOGIC GATES FOR PROGRAMMING GENE EXPRESSION IN PLANTS”
Qualification:
M.Sc.,/M.Tech.,/Integrated PG degree in life sciences with a minimum of 55% (or equivalent) marks. Preference will be given to students with NET and/or GATE qualifications.
Describe if any:
Candidates
with research experience in gene cloning, molecular biology techniques, and in planta experiments, especially involving Arabidopsis thaliana. Candidates need to work in tissue culture and a growth chamber for plant maintenance and sample collection.Stipend:
For NET/GATE qualified candidates: Rs. 40,700/- (Rs. 37,000/- + 10% HRA) per month for three years; For other candidates, institutional norms will be applicable.
