Latest Biology Lab Manager Job – Responsibilities:
As Laboratory Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Designing, updating, and auditing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory testing.
- Providing direct technical training and mentoring across partner laboratories in the Southeast Asia region.
- Developing e-learning modules and digital content for laboratory staff.
- Planning and setting up satellite labs and partnerships across regions.
- Overseeing the quality control and performance of associated partner laboratories.
- Ensuring compliance with lab safety protocols, international standards, and best practices.
- Undertaking any additional duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Latest Biology Lab Manager Job – Candidate Profile:
Education & Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
Experience & Technical Skills:
- 1–3 years’ experience in quality management in research/genetic/molecular biology labs.
- Hands-on knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms: Illumina, Thermo Ion Torrent, MGI, etc.
- Familiarity with molecular diagnostic testing workflows and quality assurance.
- Proven ability to train, guide, and mentor lab teams.
Communication & Soft Skills:
- Proficient in English (IELTS 6.0 / TOEIC 500 or equivalent).
- Strong presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in cross-functional training (technical + soft skills).
- Willingness to travel frequently, including internationally.
- Ability to work flexibly, including outside normal office hours.
Digital Proficiency:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Organized and capable of coordinating multi-site laboratory activities.
