Biotechnology JRF Position at GBU Gandhinagar for Biotech Graduates
Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), Gandhinagar, invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on an exciting research project funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM). The project, titled “Stereochemically Engineered Peptide Vectors for Targeted Delivery of Cytoskeleton Modulating Drugs in Ovarian Cancer,” offers a great opportunity for candidates with a background in biotechnology and peptide research. This project is funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), Govt. of Gujarat, at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The position is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.
Desirable Qualifications for JRF Position at GBU Gandhinagar
- M.Sc/ M.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology and allied areas with a minimum of 55% marks in the preceding qualification.
- Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE, etc., national-level exams will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience/interests in Peptide/Organic Synthesis and Biophysical Characterization of Peptides.
- Candidates with good communication skills.
Other Eligibility Criteria, Fellowship Amount, and Duration:
- Age Limit: Up to 30 years on the closing date of the advertisement.
- Fellowship Duration: Initially for 1 year, extendable on an annual basis for up to 3 years (or project duration) based on satisfactory performance and financial provisions.
- Fellowship Amount for the JRF Position:
- ₹36,000/- per month including HRA (for national-level qualified candidates: CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE etc.) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
- ₹23,213/- fixed per month (for candidates who have not qualified national-level exams) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
