APPLICATION ARE INVITED FOR ONE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW FUNDED BY THE DBT IN CSB-CTRTI, RANCHI

Applications are invited for the one Junior Research Fellow purely temporary position funded by DBT at Central Tasar Research & Training Institute, Central Silk Board (CSB), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Nagri, Ranchi-835303 (Jharkhand).

Project Title: AIT04028SNE: Inflatable mucoadhesive vaginal tablet coin (VTC) for instant spermicidal action as local vaginal contraceptive au microbicide (PI: Dr.K.Jena, Scientist-D)

Name of the position: JRF (Junior Research Fellow)

Number of posts: 01

Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Life Science/Biotechnology/Zoology/Biochemistry or equivalent with 55% marks. NET-CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship/DST/ DBT/DAE/DOS/MHRD/DRDO/MoE/ICAR/ICMR/IIT/IISC SER/NISER etc. and GATE

Desirable:

Experience in handling of analytical instruments FTIR, XRD, TGA, HPLC, GC- MS, NMR and etc. will be given preferences.

Fellowship: Rs.37,000/- + 18% HRA

Duration: July 2024 to July 2027 or until the end of the project, whichever is earliest.

Age limit: The upper age limit is 28 years as on the date of the notification. Age relaxation is applicable for a maximum period of 05 years in respect of SC/ST/women and physically challenged candidates and 03 year relaxation for OBC as per rules.

The deadline for submission is 5:00 p.m. on 05.08.2025. Please indicate the name of the Post (1) JRF/01DBT/2025 in the subject line. Only applications using the specified form will be considered.

2. The interview is tentatively scheduled for 11.08.2025 at 10:00 a.m. at CSB- CTR&TI, Piska-Nagri, Ranchi (Jharkhand) 835303 Recent passport size photograph and photocopies of relevant certificates and other testimonials in support of age, qualification, experience etc. should be sent/attached along with the application as a single PDF file. The original certificates should be brought for verification during the interview.

3. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information submitted documents and photograph. It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his / her own eligibility for the post(s) for which he/she is appearing in accordance with this advertisement. If it is detected at any time in future, during the process of selection or even after the appointment that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed eligibility criteria in this advertisement, which could not be detected at the time of selection for whatsoever reason, his/her candidature/appointment shall be liable to be cancelled/terminated immediately.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. The engagement of the Junior Research Fellow is purely on temporary/contract basis as per requirement.
2. The candidate is expected to join immediately, if selected.
3. No. TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. Institute is free to adopt any relevant criteria other than that followed by DBT, DST, ICAR etc.
5. The decision of the Director of the Institute shall be final and binding in all respects.
6. The Director of the Institute reserves right to offer the appointment in discontinuous pattern or dispense the services as per the requirement of the project for which no appeal shall be accepted.
7. The engagement will be initially for one year or till termination of the project whichever is earlier. Extension of the appointment will be given subject to the satisfactory performance of work. However, validity of the post is co-terminus with the project.
8. The selected candidates will have no right what so ever for absorption/regularization in the Institute or Central Silk Board.
9. The engaged manpower, notwithstanding the duration of the project can discontinue owing to administrative reasons at any time with one month’s notice or one month’s emoluments in lieu thereof. The Junior Research Fellow may also leave the assignment, on their own volition, by giving one month’s notice. At the end of the contract period, the Junior Research Fellow will have no right to claim any regular employment or engagement in the CSB.
10. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.

The Director, CSB, CTR&TI, Ranchi reserves the right to cancel/postpone the Interview without referring to any reason.
