- The project study involves high throughput metagenomics, meta-transcriptomic sequencing and integrated analytical research to decipher the role of microbiota in the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) clinical samples.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, cDNA preparation, PCR, qRT-PCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS), library preparation, sequencing using different NGS platforms.
Desirable Qualification: Master’s in Biotechnology/Microbiology.

Work Description:
- The project study involves the characterization of microbial diversity through metagenomics-based approach to identify/discover unknown (potentially) evolutionary lineages of various bacteria and viruses of northeast India, in the healthy individuals who are in close contact with the wild-life and livestock in the region.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, cDNA preparation, PCR, qRT-PCR, library preparation, high-throughput sequencing of the metagenomic DNA, RNA sequencing, etc.
Desirable Qualification:
- Masters in Biotechnology/Microbiology.
- Experience/exposure in infectious diseases biology.
- Hands-on NGS experience of making sequencing libraries would be an added advantage.
- Experience of handling NGS instruments.
