Job Description
As a Clinical Data Coder at Indero, you will be responsible for coding medical terms and medications using standard industry dictionaries and company guidelines. Your work will support high-quality clinical trial data management and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with data management teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and regulatory readiness of coded data for global clinical studies.
Clinical Data Coder Job – Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate coding of medical terms and medications using MedDRA, WHO Drug, and other standard dictionaries.
- Assign and manage study-specific coding dictionaries to align with protocol requirements.
- Develop and maintain study coding guidelines and contribute to the Data Management Plan.
- Perform dictionary upgrades and synonym list enhancements.
- Validate coding set-ups, test programming activities, and support edit checks where applicable.
- Conduct medical data review and resolve coding-related data queries.
- Adhere to SOPs, GCP guidelines, and regulatory standards (FDA, Health Canada).
- Maintain strong communication with the Data Management team across global locations.
Clinical Data Coder Job – Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, nursing, or equivalent field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in clinical data coding.
- Proficient in medical terminology and use of MedDRA, WHO Drug Dictionary, etc.
- Experience with query management processes and electronic data capture systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet timelines in a global team environment.
- Familiarity with GCP, FDA, and Health Canada guidelines is a plus.
