Educational Qualifications:
Essential: MSc (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biochemistry/Biotechnology) or Master’s degree in any other stream of biological/physical/computational sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or Equivalent. Must have qualified NET-JRF. If candidates with NET-JRF are not available, those without NET-JRF will be recruited with salaries as per DST norms.
Desirable:
Work experience in the area of Bioinformatics/IT/Computer Applications. Strong computer programming skills (in PERL/Python or C++ or object-oriented database management systems like MySQL etc. or scripting languages under LINUX/UNIX environment) and sufficient experience in computational analysis of biological/biochemical data. Publications in the area of bioinformatics & Computational biology is highly desirable. The candidates must highlight their experience in programming and database development in their CV.Job description: Prediction and analysis of protein structures using computational and AI-based approaches. Development of bioinformatics tools and algorithms for comprehensive structural analysis of proteins and related tasks as per project requirements. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of public domain software for structural bioinformatics in a LINUX environment. Assist in manuscript writing. The candidates must highlight their experience with dates and duration in their CV. Applications which have not been highlighted will be rejected.
Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience
Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023)

The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.

No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.

Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
