Junior Research Fellow (On Project)
Project Title: Development of Next-Generation Bioengineered CAR-T Cells and CAR-NK Cells for Solid Tumours
Principal Investigator: Dr. Albeena Nisar, CAR T Cell Therapy Center, ACTREC
Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India
Grant Project: Multi-Centric and Interdisciplinary Cancer Immunotherapy Network (CIN)
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Educational Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences OR
- Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship) or GATE
- National-level examinations are conducted by central agencies such as the ICMR, DBT, DST, DAE, IITs, IISER, IISc, and NISER, among others.
Preferred Experience Areas
Candidates with relevant experience in any of the following will be preferred:
- Viral Vector Handling: Lentiviral/retroviral manufacturing & purification
- Immunoengineering: ScFv construct design, antibody sequencing, gene cloning
- Computational Biology: CRISPR-Cas9 editing, in silico vector design tools
- Preclinical Studies: Murine tumor models, dosing, implantation, survival analysis
- Immunology: Immune cell culture, functional assays
Job Details for ACTREC JRF Opening
- Salary: ₹46,990 per month (₹37,000 + 27% HRA)
- Tenure: 6 months (extendable based on performance)
- Location: ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Navi Mumbai
