About the Role
We are looking for a Scientist—upstream Cell Culture to join our Bioprocess Design Center in Hyderabad. This role focuses
on developing, optimizing, and scaling up mammalian or microbial upstream bioprocesses using single-use technologies.Key Responsibilities
- Develop upstream processes: media formulation, feeding strategies, bioreactor optimization.
- Operate small to pilot-scale bioreactors in batch, fed-batch, and perfusion modes
- Implement single-use bioreactor systems and innovative process solutions
- Lead technology transfer to clinical and commercial scales
- Author SOPs, batch records, and documentation in compliance with GDP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytical, regulatory, QA)
- Analyze process data, troubleshoot challenges, and implement improvements
- Stay up to date with advancements in cell culture and bioprocessing technologies
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D./M.S./B.S. in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in upstream bioprocess development
- Proficiency in single-use bioreactors and process control
- Knowledge of GMP, technology transfer, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with cell line development, PAT tools, automation, and data analytics
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
