Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job
Personal care (PC) is focused on Unmissable Brand Superiority and Making Market with Multi-Year Innovation Platforms and Excellence with Incremental turnover (iTO). Science & Technology (S&T) team is focused on big bets platforms such as Biotechnology, Microbiome, Advanced Materials as R&D Scientist. The role
of the Science and Technology (PC Biosciences Science and Technology) is to deliver breakthrough “Differentiated & Superior Technologies” to meet PC goals.Main Accountabilities for Unilever R&D Scientist Job:
- Use existing methodologies for in vitro and in vivo evaluation of technologies that interact with human skin.
- Screen and identify novel molecules that trigger and/or synergize with skin microbiome for host benefit.
- Execute experimental protocols and methodologies to measure perturbation of skin benefit markers.
- Develop capability to analyze and interpret microbiomics data generated from internal clinical study.
- Keep up to date on scientific literature as R&D Scientist.
- Interpret data and communicate scientific results effectively.
- Effective team working with other members of the Biological Science team.
Key Skills for Unilever R&D Scientist Job:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences or related field.
- 1 to 3-year experience in Cell Biology/Animal tissue culture and Microbiology.
- Experience in experimental design, data analysis, and documentation.
- Good communication and presentation skills as R&D Scientist.
- Interested in developing knowledge of emerging techniques.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
