Copy Editor / Scientific Editor
The Copy Editor/Proofreader position is essential for the Medical Legal Regulatory review process, focusing on maintaining compliance and accuracy in language. Key responsibilities include:
- Proofreading and copyediting deliverables to meet quality standards
- Editing content for grammar, punctuation, and brand guidelines
- Checking for inconsistencies and maintaining style consistency
- Comparing versions and reviewing reference lists
- Ensuring final pieces meet production standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences
Professional Experience
- Must have 2 to 6 years of experience in the field of copyediting pharmaceutical promotional and disease education material.
- Must have strong written and oral English communication/presentation skills.
- Must be familiar with various style guides, including the AMA Manual of Style and/Chicago Manual of Style.
- Must be proficient in editing documents with US or UK English requirements.
- Must have a good understanding of scientific/medical terminologies, jargons, etc.
