The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) invites applications for the post of Project-SRF (Senior Research Fellow) in a DBT-funded research project focused on improving the shelf-life and nutritional quality of pearl millet flour through genetic and biochemical approaches. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates in Life Sciences and Biotechnology to work under the mentorship of Dr. Ramu S Vemanna, Associate Professor.

Interview for ‘Project-SRF’ Position
Title of Project: Genetic dissection of rancidity and goitrogenic c-glycosyl flavone biosynthesis genes to enhance the shelf-life and nutritional quality of pearl millet flour.
No. of Position: One
Age Limit: Below 35 years
Duration: Initially for one year, and can be extended on an annual basis.
Essential Qualifications: MSc / MTech in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Genomics/ Agriculture/ Pharmacy or any other related subject, and National level JRF eligibility test, such as NET, GATE, etc., qualified.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in plant transformation, molecular biology, biochemistry, protein isolation, purification Confocal microscopy, gene editing techniques. A candidate who has 1-2 years of research experience working in a relevant area with expertise will be preferred. Candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and a team player with good interpersonal skills.
