About Manipal Academy of Higher Education
The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow to work on a sponsored project titled “Exploring the potential of modulating the pro-survival functions of mitophagy to develop novel anticancer treatment strategies” at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Manipal School of Life Sciences.
Job Description
We are seeking eligible candidates with an M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related disciplines. Prior experience in cell and molecular biology techniques will be advantageous. Candidates with UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/DBT-BET qualification are preferred.
Eligibility:

M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines for Junior Research Fellow.

Prior experience in cell and molecular biology techniques such as:

Cell culture

Western blotting
-
Microscopy

Cloning

Flow cytometry

Mice handling (added advantage)

Candidates with UGC-CSIR/NET/GATE/DBT-BET qualification will be preferred.

Remuneration and Duration
Remuneration for the position is Rs. 37,000 plus 9% HRA per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000 plus 9% HRA for the third year. The duration of the project is 3 years.
