The Special Centre for Nanoscience, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, invites applications for a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under an ICMR-funded project focused on theranostic nanoplatforms for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Position Available: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Project Title: “Carbon Nanodots as trackable theranostic platform for dual/triple drug delivery and their synergism with efflux pump inhibitors against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.”

Salary: ₹56,000 per month + HRA (as per ICMR norms)
Tenure: Initially one year, extendable based on performance, up to the duration of the project
Essential Qualifications (Any One):

First Class Post Graduate Degree (including integrated PG) in:

Biological Sciences / Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Environmental Sciences / Relevant Subjects

Second Class Post Graduate Degree (with PhD) in any of the above or in Nanoscience

First Class Four-Year Engineering Degree in:

Biotechnology or a relevant subject

Desirable Qualifications:

Published research in relevant fields

Experience in:

Infectious disease research (bacterial/fungal)

Antimicrobial compound testing

Nanotechnology / Nanomedicine / Nanobiotechnology
