IIT Roorkee Project Job | BSc Science Candidates Attend the Walk-in-Interview
The Department of Water Resources Development and Management at IIT Roorkee invites eligible Indian nationals for walk-in interviews to fill four Project Assistant/Field Assistant positions. The project, titled “Assessment of Environmental Flows in the Ghagra and Gomti River Basin,” funded by the Ministry of Jal Shakti (NMCG), involves fieldwork, hydro-surveys, and water quality analysis. The interview will be held on June 26th, 2025. Candidates with a background in water resources, environmental engineering, remote sensing, or GIS are encouraged to apply.

Title of Project:
Assessment of Environmental Flows in the Ghagra and Gomti River Basin
Sponsor:
NMCG, Ministry of Jal Shakti, New Delhi
Nature of Work:
Field data collection using UAV, river survey using Hydro Surveyor/ADCP, ERT, hydro-met data collection and analysis, water quality data collection and processing, report and paper writing.
Duration: 3 years or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
Positions Available:
Four (4), Project Assistant/Field Assistant
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 27,000/- + HRA as per institute rules
Essential Qualification:
Undergraduate degree in Science/Engineering/Technology in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Remote Sensing & GIS, or Geography from a recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Qualification:
Candidates with higher/additional qualifications and experience in water resources, remote sensing, GIS, and water quality will be preferred.
Interview Details:
A walk-in Interview will be held at the Department of Water Resources Development and Management, IIT Roorkee, on 26th June 2025 (Thursday) at 11:30 Hrs.
