ICGEB-JNU PhD Fellowships for Indian nationals
The ICGEB-JNU PhD Programme 2025 is conducted in two streams: 1. Human Health & Industrial Biotechnology, and 2. Plant Science, and is run exclusively at ICGEB New Delhi.
Applications close: 30 JUNE 2025
Applications are invited from eligible candidates with Indian nationality, in two streams:
1. Human Health & Industrial Biotechnology (Structural Parasitology, Structural Biology, Cellular Immunology, Translational Bioinformatics, Yeast Biofuel, Transcription Regulation, Systems Biology for Biofuel, Vector Borne Diseases, Immunobiology) and
2. Plant Science (Plant RNAi Biology, Nutritional Improvement of Crops, Pla
nt Transcription Regulation, Omics of Algae, Metabolic Engineering).Eligibility
First class (60% or equivalent grade) M.Sc. in any branch of science (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, etc.) or M.Tech. or MBBS or M.V.Sc. or M.Pharm. or equivalent qualification recognised by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi are eligible to apply.
Only “Category-I” NET candidates having a valid fellowship through any one of the following examinations: CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DBT (I), DST-INSPIRE, BINC, Lady Tata Memorial Trust or any other equivalent JRF examination, or a fellowship from a private agency that is valid for at least four years are eligible to apply.
