The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bengaluru, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Central Silk Board-funded project on BmNPV-derived recombinant protein production. This is an exciting opportunity for MSc graduates in Life Sciences and allied fields to contribute to cutting-edge research in molecular biology and cell culture using Bombyx mori silkworm systems. The appointment is contractual and extends up to 31st December 2027.

Research Fellow (01)Consolidated Fellowship/Pay-slab: INR 26,000/month (Consolidated)
Qualifications:
- M.Sc in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Zoology/Genetics or related subjects with at least 60% of marks or 6.50 CGPA from a UGC recognized university.
- Research experience in the area of Molecular Biology/Cell Biology/Virology.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience of working in a cell culture facility.
- Experience in Molecular Biology techniques including cloning and recombinant protein expression.
- Ability to maintain accurate lab records, data analyses, good organizational and prioritization skills, team player, and willingness to learn.
