About the Role:
The Clinical Data Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and performing data management activities to ensure high-quality, regulatory-compliant data that meets client and project requirements. The role involves managing full study life cycles, leading data management tasks, and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Data Management for 5 to 10 clinical studies or lead a specific data management task.
• Manage eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment) data management study life cycle including project timelines and quality standards.
• Determine resource needs and identify out-of-scope work items.
• Perform data review, write and resolve data clarifications, and ensure data quality.
• Support database design activities (for non-programming-based technologies).
• Execute quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide effective solutions to project challenges and escalate issues as per global communication plans.
• Suggest and support process improvement initiatives and assist in the implementation of new technologies.
• Ensure full compliance with SOPs, working instructions, and quality standards.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in negotiations of project timelines and responsibilities with study teams.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Solid understanding of the clinical drug development process and data management practices.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent data management, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
