Position: Project Associate-1
Project Title: “Developing functional T-cells active under high potassium concentration mimicking the tumor microenvironment”
Principal Investigator: Dr. Rahul Das, Associate Professor, Department of Biological Sciences
Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India
Location: Mohanpur, West Bengal – 741 246

Tenure: Initial appointment for 12 months, extendable based on performance and funding availability.
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a minimum of 75% marks
- NET or GATE qualified (see approved list of recognized exams under DST rules)
- Minimum 4 years of research experience in Biochemistry and Immunology
- At least 1 year as SRF is desirable
- At least one published paper in a peer-reviewed SCI journal
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Cloning, protein expression & purification
- Enzyme kinetics and ligand-binding studies
- Culturing immune cells (Jurkat or RAMOS)
- Isothermal titration calorimetry, fluorescence assays
- Stopped-flow fluorescence, confocal/epi-fluorescence microscopy
- Strong understanding of molecular biology tools
Age Limit: Not more than 30 years as of 20 June 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates from reserved categories or with outstanding credentials as per Government of India norms.
