About the Project
Project Description: Isolation and characterization of important aquaculture bacterial pathogens and phages
Project Objective: The research focuses on the isolation and characterization of bacteriophages specific to Vibrio parahaemolyticus
, a key pathogen in shrimp aquaculture.Job Responsibilities
- Screen environmental samples for lytic phages using V. parahaemolyticus isolates
- Evaluate isolated phages for lytic activity and growth dynamics
- Characterize phages through genomic and morphological analysis
- Contribute to the development of phage-based diagnostic tools for pathogen detection
Qualifications and Skills
- M.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology
- Strong background in microbiology and molecular biology techniques
- Experience in working with bacterial cultures and phages is desirable
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
