Job Description Role Overview- The Seed Processing Team Lead manages a team of processing technicians to ensure the efficient processing of seeds from intake to packaging at our facility in Karnataka, India.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily seed processing operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance and utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Identify equipment upgrades for efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels and processing schedules.
- Implement quality control protocols.
- Supervise and mentor processing technicians.
HSE, Compliance, and Documentation
- Ensure HSE standards and safe work environment.
- Enforce safety protocols and proper PPE use.
- Maintain accurate processing records.
- Stay updated on industry best practices.
- Conduct safety training for the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum Graduate Degree in Engineering Mechanical/Electrical/Agriculture.
- 3+ years’ experience in packing or processing operations.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience in SAP.
- Preferably knowledge of track & trace system.
Critical Success Factors & Key Challenges
- Review manpower requirements.
- Co-ordinate with maintenance team for minimal downtime.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Ensure safety and hygiene.
- Troubleshoot machine and product issues.
