Name of the Project: Enhancing photosynthesis potential, crop yield and conferring tolerance to abiotic stresses by overexpression of different isoforms of Protochlorophyllide Oxidoreductase in rice
Description: This is a DBT sponsored project. The work will be done at Sharda University which has well equipped molecular biology and plant tissue culture facilities. The JRF can pursue Ph.D. through this project.

Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Botany / Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Agricultural sciences / Plant sciences/ Allied Sciences with CSIR/UGC NET-JRF/LS or DBT-JRF or ARS-NET (ICAR) or GATE
Desirable: Experience in Plant molecular biology including RNA isolation and real-time PCR and plant tissue culture.
Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA as per rules per month (Consolidated)
Tenure: The position is for three years, starting from January 1, 2025. The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. The position is co-terminus with the project.

- Appointment is purely temporary.
- Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency applicable to the said project.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
