Welcome to the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole of the School of Public Health! We are currently seeking Research Assistant I/II applicants to join our dynamic research team. If you are passionate about molecular biology, genomics, or genetics, and have the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in HKU-Pasteur Research Pole to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in molecular biology, genomics, or genetics or relevant discipline
- Familiarity with sequencing techniques and workflows
- Effective organization and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Conducting laboratory experiments to support research team members
- Providing technical guidance and training on sequencing protocols
- Maintaining inventories and managing equipment and data storage
- Staying updated on developments in public health genomics
