Project Scientist Jobs at Tezpur University – MSc Agri Candidates Attend the Walk-in-Interview
Tezpur University offers a unique opportunity for researchers to contribute to a cutting-edge BIRAC-sponsored project focused on climate-resilient agricultural technology. Two temporary Project Scientist positions are open in the Department of Energy, with an attractive monthly salary and the chance to work under the guidance of Prof. Rupam Kataki. Candidates with relevant qualifications and research experience are invited for a walk-in interview on 11th June 2025.
A walk-in-interview will be held in the Department of Energy, Tezpur University at 10.00 a.m. on 11/06/2025 for two temporary positions of Project Scientist in the BIRAC sponsored research project entitled “Developing a Climate Resilient Technology Utilizing the Indigenous Plant Growth Promoting Microbes for Growing Vegetables in the Rice Fallow Land of Assam” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Rupam Kataki, Department of Energy, Tezpur University, Tezpur, Napaam – 784028, Assam.
Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Science, Technology, or Agricultural Science, a Ph.D. in a relevant or aligned field, and have at least three publications. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience related to the project and a suitable research mindset.
Consolidated emolument: ₹ 62,500/- (Rupees sixty two thousand five hundred) only per month (Fixed).
Age limit:
Candidate shall not be more than 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Government of India rules.Duration: The appointment will be initially up to 31st March, 2026 or until further order, whichever is earlier, which may be extended further based on the performance of the incumbent and duration of the project.
