CSIR—Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, is a constituent National Laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) that works to advance food technology and scientific research.
CSIR-CFTRI invites applications for the temporary contractual positions of Project Associate-II (PAT-II) for the project “CSIR JIGYASA 2.0 Programme with concept of Virtual Laboratory Integrated” (HCP-0101). This initiative promotes scientific thinking among high school students from KVS, JNV, and Government Schools.

Qualification: M.Sc. in Biochemistry / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Food Science & Nutrition / Microbiology

Experience: Minimum 2 years in R&D or Science Communication in academic or industrial settings

Role: Conduct outreach sessions and support scientific project activities
- Job Requirement: Able to interact with high school students to convey scientific concepts and assist in conducting the project activities.
- Subject Panel(s) to be chosen in the portal: Biochemistry Or Chemistry Or Biotechnology Or Food Science & Nutrition Or Microbiology OR Life Sciences
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in school-level scientific engagement and fluency in Kannada is preferred.
Important Notes: As per CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024, engagement of Project Staff shall be co-terminus with the term of the Project, subject to the condition that the total period of the engagement of a Project Staff in different projects either in the same Lab/Instt. Or different Lab/Instt. The period of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. Hence, the applicants who have completed a total tenure of 6 years in any of the CSIR Lab/Instt. as Project Staff are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the positions described above.
