The BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), New Delhi, is inviting applications for a Project Associate-I (PA-I) position under its Short-Term Research Fellowship programme. Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Project Associate-I (PA-I) in the Short-Term Research Fellowship programme under the supervision of Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR. Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and NIPGR fellowship norms.
Name of Position: Project Associate-I (PA-I) – 01 post.
Upper age limit: 35 years
Eligibility: Candidate having Master’s degree (with minimum 55% marks or equivalent) in Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Botany or any other branch of life science, and as per the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. Candidate having research experience in Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Tissue culture will be given preference.
The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of post shall be as per Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.

A single PDF file, consisting of application and all documents, must be sent to E-mail: [email protected], within 15 days from the date of advertisement. The subject line of the mail should be “Application for the Post of STRF, PA-I”. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. Only shortlisted candidate will be informed through e-mail, and interview will be held in physical/offline mode. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s).
