Job Description: Project Associate-II (PAT-II)

CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology invites applications for the position of Project Associate-II for the project titled “Evaluation of rationally designed influenza vaccines” under Project Code CLP-0031.

Essential Qualifications:

Option 1:

• Master’s / Integrated Master’s in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSc / Animal Sciences
  OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine as Project Associate-II
  AND

• Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D in industrial or academic institutions or in S&T organizations.

Option 2:

• Master’s / Integrated Master’s in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.

Desirable Experience (any of the following):

• Experience in Pichia pastoris or fungal-based protein expression systems

• Hands-on expertise with mammalian cell culture as Project Associate-II

• Genome editing using CRISPR-Cas9

• Genome editing using lentiviral transduction

Age Limit:

• Upper age limit: 35 years

• Age relaxation:

  • SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years as Project Associate-II

  • OBC: 3 years

Monthly Emoluments:

• ₹35,000/- + HRA for candidates who have qualified:

  • CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship),

  • ICAR/ICMR NET,

  • GATE,

  • or National level exams conducted by DBT/DST/other central govt. departments.

• ₹28,000/- + HRA for others who do not meet the above qualifications as Project Associate-II.
