Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up of the following post on contract basis for the IISC-NIMHANS Collaborative Project funded by ICMR entitled “Testing the therapeutic potential of RGG-motif peptides in mitigating aggregation and toxicity of proteins implicated in ALS” – under Dr. T.N. Sathyaprabha, Professor of Neurophysiology & Co-Principal Investigator, NIMHANS, Bengaluru – 560029.
Name of the Post: Project Research Scientist-1 (Non-Medical)
No. of Post: One
Educational Qualification: First Class Post Graduate degree with Ph.D. in Neurophysiology / Neurosciences/ any Biological Sciences from a recognized University
Research Experience: 2-3 years of Research experience in the areas of neurodegenerative disorders with expertise in iPSC cultures, neuronal or glial cell lines/primary cultures of neurons or glial cells
Desirable Experience: Candidates with experience in Transcriptomics and other molecular biology techniques, Protein chemistry including immunocytochemistry, Western blotting, biochemical assays, ELISA etc., derivation of induced pluripotent stem cells from human PBMCs/Fibroblasts, maintenance of neuronal/stem cell lines with a proven track record of publications in related area in peer reviewed national/international and indexed journals
Maximum Age Limit
: 35 yearsEmoluments : Rs. 56,000/- + 30% HRA
Duration of the post: Three years – Initial appointment will be made for a period of six months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate
