SCIENTIFIC POSITIONS (ON CONTRACT)
National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar (erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University) was established in 2009 and given the status of National University and Institution of National Importance by the act of Parliament in October 2020. Presently, the University has nine campuses across the country at Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa, Dharwad, Bhopal, Pune, Manipur, Tripura, Guwahati, and one international campus at Jinja, Uganda.
National Forensic Sciences University invites application for following Scientific positions on contractual basis for its campus located at Gandhinagar from exceptionally motivated candidates. NFSU promotes interdisciplinary culture and vouches for scientific staff who can collaborate with other scientific staff of the University in interdisciplinary areas of Forensic Science and allied branches. NFSU provides unique opportunities for research on the development of technologies related to crime investigation, crime prevention and homeland security. The details of the vacancies are as under:

Other Terms and Conditions:
a) The posts listed above are temporary positions and are on contractual basis for 11 Months or till the recruitment for the position is filled against the regular vacancy or whichever is earlier.
b) One set of self-certified documents (degree/marksheet /experience certificate etc) should be submitted to the recruitment cell at the time of the Interview.
c) The original certificate(s) must be shown at the time of the interview.
d) If found ineligible, the university is liable to terminate the contract at any time.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Post I
Junior Scientific Officer (Food Tech & Forensics):
Designation of Post: – Junior Scientific Officer (Food Forensics)
1. Pay:- Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.60,200/-
2. Essential Qualifications/ Criteria:
i. Not be more than 35 years of age,
ii. Educational Qualification: First class (60%) Master’s Degree in Food Technology/Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Forensic Pharmacy/ M. Pharm or equivalent from a recognized University.
iii. Three years’ experience of analytical methods and research in the field of Food Analysis in any Central Government or State Government organization or recognized research institute or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.
iv. Should have adequate knowledge of English, Hindi, and Computer Proficiency.
3. Desirable: Specialization in the field of Food Forensic Analysis and Quality Assurance.
Post II
Scientific Assistant (SA):
Scientific Assistant (Food Forensics)
1. Designation of Post:- Scientific Assistant (Food Forensics)
2. Pay:- Consolidated Monthly Salary of Rs.47,400/-
3. Essential Qualifications/ Criteria:
i. Not be more than 30 years of age,
ii. Educational Qualification: First class (60%) Master’s Degree in Food Technology/Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Forensic Pharmacy/ M. Pharm or equivalent from a recognized University.
iii. Should have adequate knowledge of English, Hindi, and Computer Proficiency.
4. Desirable:
i. Experience and specialization in the field of Food Forensic Analysis and Quality Assurance.
