Profile Summary: To provide technical assistance in laboratory activities.
Key roles and Responsibility
- Preparation of PCR reactions and reagents required for molecular biology related work
- Support during Fermentation, Concentration and Freeze Drying of Lactic Acid Bacteria
- Assistance during bacteriophage isolation and performance of plaque assay
- Prepare media, reagents, buffers and operate equipment as needed
- Assist in the development and validation of analytical methods for probiotic assessment
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functioning
- Document experimental procedures, maintain lab records, and prepare technical reports
- Assist in purchasing laboratory chemicals and instruments
- Assist scientist in laboratory experiments, field trails and data collection
- Collection of samples for research purposes
- Any other task assigned by the Group Head/Reporting Officer
Qualification & Experience: Masters in Microbiology / Biotechnology /Virology / Biochemistry or any other allied sciences
Location: Anand
Other Essential attributes and skills
- Hands-on experience in microbial culture techniques and laboratory analysis
- Understanding of microbial cultures, Bacteriophage isolation, fermentation processes
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment (e.g., spectrophotometer, centrifuge, pH meters), fermentation systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 kg
- Must be ready to work for longer hours and night shifts as well
