Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) is a state-funded public university, located near GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Established under the Gujarat Act 16 of 2018 by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of Gujarat, GBU is India’s pioneering university focused solely on biotechnology education and research.

Eligibility Criteria
● Bachelor’s degree in any science/technology stream with a 10+2+3/4/5 education pattern
● Minimum 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA for GEN/OBC (50% marks or 5.0 CGPA for SC/ST)
● GAT-B 2025 qualification is mandatory for first-round admissions
● Vacant seats (if any) will be filled based on IIT-JAM 2025 and CUET-PG 2025 (Life Sciences & Biotechnology) scores
Admission Process
● Admissions are primarily based on GAT-B 2025 scores
● If seats remain, IIT-JAM 2025 and CUET-PG 2025 candidates will be considered
● Admission is as per the reservation policy of the Government of Gujarat

Student Support & Stipend
All enrolled M.Sc. students at GBU receive:
