Your Role
As the SDS Author at Merck, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee the compliance, accuracy, and currentness of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) on a worldwide scale. This position demands the ability to interpret and communicate SDS information effectively, a thorough understanding of product hazards, and strong collaboration skills with various internal and external stakeholders.
Who you are
Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Biotechnology.

2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the life sciences or chemical regulatory field.

Strong foundational knowledge of chemical structures
, functional groups, and toxicological principles.
Skills and Competencies:

Proficient understanding of GHS (Globally Harmonized System) and CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) regulations.

Familiarity with global chemical safety standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., REACH, OSHA HazCom, etc.).

Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

Experience with process improvement and project coordination.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
