Tata Translational Cancer Research Centre (TTCRC) at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, is inviting applications for Project Associate-II positions in the PReDiCT research group. This prestigious DBT-funded project, HemaTrack-ALL, focuses on minimal residual disease (MRD) tracking in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) using advanced genomics. Candidates with a Master’s in Biological Sciences and hands-on experience in molecular biology, qPCR, or NGS are encouraged to apply before the deadline on 17th May 2025.

Project Description
The Project Associate-II position is within the Personalised Residual Disease Tracking in Cancer (PReDiCT) group, focusing on tracking minimal residual disease (MRD) in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) patients. The project aims
to develop a robust assay for the detection and quantification of MRD in ALL patients to aid in clinical decision-making.Roles and Responsibilities
- Identifying patients for the HemaTrack-ALL project
- DNA extraction of patient samples and quality control for MRD workflows
- Tracking MRD for ALL patients
- Reporting MRD results in a timely manner
- Participating in quality assessments and data presentations
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Master’s degree in Biological Sciences with expertise in Molecular Biology and Genomics
- Hands-on experience in laboratory protocols, DNA extraction, qPCR, sequencing, and data analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office, data management, and statistical analysis software
Additional Experience: Exposure in handling patients’ samples and Illumina platform library preparation preferred

Appointment and Benefits
The position is for two years with a monthly salary of INR 35,000 plus 24% HRA (with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification) or INR 28,000 plus 24% HRA (without NET/GATE qualification). The position is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
