Job Summary:
Position: Junior Research Fellow
Location: Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Tea Research Association, Jorhat, Assam
Project Duration: 2 Years 1 Month
Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Research Fellow to work on a project focused on the isolation and molecular characterization of diverse Fusarium strains causing dieback disease of tea in Assam. The selected candidate will also be responsible for utilizing antagonist microbes to effectively manage the disease.
Qualifications Required for JRF Vacancy at Tea Research Association:
- 1st Class M.Sc in Botany or Life Science with specialization in Mycology & Plant Pathology/Microbiology/Biotechnology
- Experience in Fungal Isolation, Identification at the molecular level, and conducting field trials
Monthly Fellowship:
Rs. 20,000/- + 8% / (24% as applicable) HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year
Rs. 22,000/- + 8% / (24% as applicable) HRA per month for 3rd Year of the project
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in overall project-related activities
- Survey, field trials, and extensive field visits
- Data generation, analysis, and report preparation
General Instructions:
- The above posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
- Candidates must attend a walk-in interview on 13th June, 2025, at 10:00 am
- Applicants are required to carry photocopies of relevant documents along with the filled application form
- No TA/DA or other expenses will be provided for attending the interview
- Selected candidates need to join immediately or at very short notice
