GITAM Deemed University is inviting applications for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant in the Department of Life Science at its Visakhapatnam campus. This is an opportunity to contribute to a research project focused on enhancing the fecundity and egg production of muga (Antheraea assamensis) and eri (Samia ricini) silkworms through the evaluation of polyamines, spermidine, and spermine. If you hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences and are interested in contributing to this 3-year project, we encourage you to apply.
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant

Campus: Visakhapatnam
Project Title: Evaluation of the role of polyamines; spermidine and spermine in enhancement of fecundity and egg production of muga (Antheraea assamensis) and eri (Samia ricini) silkworms
Objective: To Standardize the effective dose of various polyamines that enhances the egg production of of muga (Antheraea assamensis) and eri (Samia ricini) silkworms
Duration of the Project: 03 Years
Educational Qualification:
- Project Associate (I) / JRF: First class M. Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences
- Project Assistant: M.Sc / B.Sc honors in any branch of Life Sciences.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years, with age relaxation as per government norms.
