Walk-in-Interview (RA-I)

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.

Project Title: DBT funded project “Technological innovations for development of functional foods from ethnic fermented foods of the Indian Himalayas” under Himalayan Bioresource Mission

Name of position: Research Associate-I (01 position)

Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- + HRA@18% per month.

Eligibility: Ph. D. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or any of the allied subjects. The candidate should have proficient knowledge in microbial and molecular biological techniques, should have good understanding of the antimicrobial resistance mechanisms and should have experience in handling experimental animals etc., Candidates should have First-author publication(s) in the field of microbiology in a reputed journal. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply, but for such candidates, the fellowship amount will be that of an SRF until he/she defends the thesis.

Desirable qualification:

Should have work experience in E. coli/ S. aureus efflux pumps

Incomplete applications and applications without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected. The appointment will be for one year or until the end of the project.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
