Position Overview
IISER-TVM is seeking a Research Associate-I to work on an ANRF-funded project related to coronavirus entry mechanisms and antiviral development. This position is on a contract basis with potential for yearly extension based on performance.

Name of Project: “Decipher the entry mechanism of the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and a SARS-like virus to develop antivirals that target host factors Funding agency ANRF”
Funding agency: ANRF
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency): PhD in Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Cell Biology or related field with good work/ Teaching experience
Preference:
The candidate should be highly motivated to do basic research in biology.
Academically excellent candidate with technical proficiency in molecular biology and immunology, basic microbiology, and recombinant DNA(rDNA) technology, especially in cloning, designing, and making gene constructs, CRISPR library screening, growing, and mammalian cell lines.
The candidate has strong writing skills to write project reports and IP-related matters.
Fellowship amount: Rs.58,000 + HRA as applicable
Tenure of the post: 1 year, extendable based on performance upto 3 years or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier
Age: 40 years (upper age limit)
