Role Description
This full-time on-site role is for an Assistant Professor in Biotechnology, School of Sciences, at Woxsen University, Hyderabad. Professors will be responsible for teaching B.Sc. level Biotechnology-related courses, course design, establishing new labs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and advising and mentoring students. They will also be expected to participate
in departmental activities and services, actively pursue research interests, organize academic events, and submit funding proposals.The applicants must be available for an in-person interview at our campus.
Woxsen University invites applications for the post of Assistant Professors in the following areas:
- Computational Biology (Industry experience preferred – Omics, RNASeq, CADD)
- Bioreactor Design/Bioprocess Engineering (Industry experience preferred)
- Biopharmaceutics (Industry experience preferred – Knowledge of SOP, GLP, Regulatory affairs, Formulation)
Qualifications:
Candidates should be from well-reputed institutions (experience from abroad is preferable).
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology or related field from India or abroad (Mandatory – Completed).
- College/University-level Teaching experience: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Strong research and publication record, focusing on applied research and industry collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic teaching at the UG level Programme.
- Curriculum design and development, academic administration supervision, and guidance for students.
- Examinations and evaluation, Training, consultancy, and extension activities.
- Develop and implement innovative, instructional methods and professional logistics to improve student performance.
- Creative endeavors that contribute to the academic mission of the University.
- Guide, lead, and mentor students in research projects. Evaluate and monitor students’ academic progress by creating, innovating, and implementing career-enhancement programs and activities.
