Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad.
Post I
1. Post Code: Project Associate – II (1 Position)
Project Title: “Functional characterization of an interferon lambda 1 gene promoter single nucleotide polymorphism” (funded by ANRF) PI – Dr. Sreedhar Chinnaswamy.
Tenable upto: One Year.
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in natural or agricultural sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or medicine from a recognized university or equivalent and ii) 02 years’ experience in R&D In industrial or academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
Experience: Preference will be given to Master’s degree holders with research experience in genomics projects and publications in that area.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 33,000/- + HRA (if applicable) (OM: SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10th July 2020 as per the DST guidelines.
Age: 35 years.
Post II
2. Post Code: Field Assistant (1 Position)
Project Title: “Functional analysis of a novel human interferon lambda 4 (IFNL4) gene isoform and interrogation of an IFNL4 SNP (rs4803221) for novel functions” (funded by DBT) PI – Dr. Sreedhar Chinnaswamy.
Tenable upto: One Year.
Essential Qualification: BSc/03-year diploma in Engineering and Technology.
Experience: Preference will be given to Master’s degree holders with research experience in genomics projects and publications in that area.
Fellowship amount: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA (if applicable) as per the DST guidelines.
Age: 50 years.

Candidates must fill online application form at www.niab.res.in. Candidates are advised to fill the online application form in sufficient time before the last date to avoid last minute technical issues. No need to send hard copy. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. Suitable candidates will be screened, intimated through email and interviewed by duly constituted selection committee through online mode.
