Applications are invited for a temporary position of R&D Assistant to work under the guidance of Prof. Ravi Manjithaya, Autophagy Lab, Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit, JNCASR, Jakkur, Bengaluru, 560 064.

Position: R&D Assistant

Remuneration:

• Rs.22,610/- (Without NET/GATE etc.),
• Rs.25,000/- (With NET/GATE etc.), and
• Rs.28,000/- (M.E/M.Tech etc.) plus 30% HRA)

Desirable Qualification:

• First-class post-graduate degree in Biological/Life Sciences or Biotechnology.
• Contribution to publications is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience in primary and cell culture.
• Proficiency in animal handling, maintenance, and breeding.
• Expertise in conducting animal behavioral tests and studying infectious disease models.
• Perform stereotaxic surgeries for precise brain targeting to develop in vivo models for studying bacterial infections, neurological conditions, and drug delivery.
• Investigating molecular mechanisms in neuroscience, particularly related to the brain immune system.
• Skilled in immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques, including western blot and PCR.
• Conducting advanced microscopic and imaging techniques.
• Utilizing software tools such as ImageJ and GraphPad Prism for data analysis.
