Seed Genetics Analyst I
Job Purpose
This position will function as a team member in the high throughput Seed Quality Testing Laboratory, supporting the Product Supply Organization and key customers/colleagues in cross-functional areas. The role involves striving to achieve quality strategies and incorporating VACC behaviors into daily testing activities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Planning and executing genetic purity tests using global/regional protocols.
- Managing lab resources such as chemicals, supplies, and instrument maintenance.
- Coordinating with various teams for annual sample estimation and validation.
- Supporting new QC tests and validations based on global genetic quality assurance standards.
- Participating in continual improvement projects and implementing best practices.
- Sustaining quality management systems and striving for operational excellence in the lab.
- Ensuring timely recording and execution of data in LIMS.
- Collaborating with platform functions and exhibiting a quality culture in lab operations.
Key Working Relations
Internal: Pre-foundation, foundation, production, operations, warehouses, and quality assurance.
External: Vendors, finance, HSC, QMS, and site services.
Who You Are
- Master’s in biotechnology or related field with 2+ years’ QA lab experience.
- Skills in self-organization, planning, reporting, and communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office, LIMS, lab data analysis, SAP, and working under time pressure.
