She has completed PhD followed by post-doctoral research at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Her research interests lie in DNA repair, genomic instability and cancer therapeutics. She has delivered lectures on related areas at several academic institutions. She was previously associated with a private university in Kolkata, and presently holds a position in research administration at University of Calcutta
