Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following positions.
Principal Investigator: Dr. P. V. Ramchander, Scientist-F, ILS, Bhubaneswar
Projects Title: Screening of pregnant women and newborns for genetic and metabolic disorders in Nabarangpur, an aspirational district in Odisha (DBT-UMMID Project)
Position #1
Name of Post: Project Manager/Senior Project Associate
Number of posts: 01
Upper age limit: 40 years
Remuneration: ₹42,000/- per month + HRA
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Biomedical/Health Sciences or equivalent.
Desirable: Doctoral degree in Life Sciences with relevant experience in Biomedical/Health Sciences or four years’ experience in handling biomedical projects.

Name of Post: Lab Technician
Number of posts: 01
Upper age limit: 50 years
Remuneration: ₹20,000/- per month + HRA
Qualifications: B.Sc. in Life Sciences or Medical Lab Technician.
Desirable: M.Sc. in Life Sciences or two years’ experience in handling biomedical
projects.Note:
i) Staff Nurse, Lab Technician, and Field Assistant/Worker will be posted at Nabarangpur.
ii) Project Manager/SPA and Data Entry Operator will be posted at Bhubaneswar or Nabarangpur.
All the project personnel should be prepared to work at Nabarangpur & Bhubaneswar as per the work schedule. No accommodation will be provided.

Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by a written/interview process. The list of shortlisted candidates’ names and the date of the interview will be published on the ILS website.
All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
All communication will be through e-mail. No separate call letter will be issued to the candidates.
