Come join the creative and empowered company! IFF is looking for a dynamic individual with strong knowledge and experience within enzymes for the brewing industry as Senior Application Specialist – Brewing in India to support the continuous growth of the Health & Bioscience business.
Your Focus
As a Senior Application Specialist, you should be eager to serve brewers on-site with enzyme applications and provide technical support to our customers. You will be part of a highly skilled global brewing team, collaborate with our brewing laboratory in Denmark and IFF corporate functions, and drive product optimization and application innovation.
The role is based in Hyderabad, India, and will report to the Senior Global Application, Group Manager.
How You Will Contribute
- Execute lab analysis on brewing raw materials and conduct mashing trials.
- Collaborate closely with a Senior Lead Application Scientist to drive customer satisfaction.
- Support new product launches through commercialization, including customer dialogue, trial preparation, monitoring success criteria, and technical reporting.
- Implement IFF brewing enzyme solutions in close collaboration with sales, product management, and the global Food Enzyme Team.
- Visit customers and build a strong network across the Indian brewing industry.
- Independently plan lab activities, generate analytical results, and report to customers and the IFF brewing team.
- Scout for new opportunities at existing and potential new customers.
- Protect existing business by solving ad hoc technical issues at customers by applying IFF brewing products as part of the solution.
- Drive application trials at both customer facilities and IFF pilot facilities to optimize, validate, and document the functionality of enzyme solutions.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Degree in Brewing & Malting Technology, Microbiology, Fermentation Science, Food Science, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or a related field (preferably a degree as Master Brewer).
- Applied experience in managing laboratory work and conducting brewing analysis.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within industrial brewing or academia.
- Customer-focused personality with the skills to interact with multiple levels within the customer organization, including key decision-makers.
- Desire to work in a multidisciplinary team and the ability to network across organizational and geographical borders.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including to customer commercial production sites.
