The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on temporary and contractual basis under funded project:

Title of the Project: “The role of Api5 during breast morphogenesis”

Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)
Minimum educational Qualification:
- M.Sc. / B.Tech. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Bioengineering with minimum 65% marks / equivalent grade with valid CSIR-NET (Life Sciences) / GATE (Life Sciences) / CSIR-JRF / DBT-JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies OR equivalent scorecard.
- If needed, additional percentage cut-off will be applied during the screening process.
Preference: Candidates having the following will be preferred: Experience
in cell culture techniques as well as western blotting, cloning, and other related molecular biology techniques. Training in confocal microscopy.Job requirements:
- To study the role of Api5 in breast morphogenesis using overexpression and down-regulated Api5 mutant cell lines with the help of 3-dimensional breast acinar cultures.
- To perform fluorescence microscopy-based experiments.
- To get involved in work related to studying Api5’s role in the mouse model.
Tenure of the appointment: Upto 16.08.2025, extendable for further period subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
Consolidated emoluments per month: Rs. 31,000/- + 24% House Rent Allowance.
Upper age limit as on last date of application:
- Not more than 28 years as on last date of application.
- Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and/or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
