Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) Programme at NIB (Call for FY 2024-25)
National Institute of Biologicals (NIB) is an apex autonomous institute under the administrative control of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of India. NIB aims to identify potential candidates interested in pursuing Postdoctoral fellowship at NIB, NOIDA. The area of research will be as per the mandate of NIB with the main focus in the field of mechanistic studies in quality evaluation of biologicals for in-depth understanding of diagnostics, prophylactics, and therapeutics.
The potential candidates may like to work in different laboratories of NIB such as:
- Diagnostic kits of various diseases
- Blood grouping reagents
- Plasma-derived products
- Recombinant products
- Vaccines
- Therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, etc.
The aim of the PDF programme is to develop professional skills in the field of quality control and development of new biologicals such as diagnostic kits, vaccines, recombinant products, monoclonal antibodies, etc. The trained postdoctoral fellows would improve on quality control methods of testing the biologicals and contribute towards the development of new biologicals. In the long term, this programme would help NIB and MOHFW in safeguarding public health.
In view of the above, NIB has started the institute-sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowships (PDFs) at NIB.
The applications are invited from potential candidates who are within three years of the award of Ph.D. degree to work at NIB on quality evaluation and development of biologicals.
- Number of PDFs required: 07 (Seven)
- Fellowship Structure: The PDFs will be remunerated with Rs. 55,000/- plus HRA as per the rules.
- Tenure: The fellowship will be awarded initially for a period of 02 years and can be extended annually for a period of a maximum of five years based on performance.
- Selection procedure: Concept note for proposed research in the field of biologicals, CV, and Interview by the selection committee.
